What ages of children do you cater for?
Our tepees are suitable for slumber parties, leaving parties, end of year fun get togethers, or if you need to make space for visiting guests- for all children from 6 years to teens.
How many children should I invite?
When you are thinking about inviting party guests our advice is less is sometimes more, and a cosy 3 or 4 tepees is lots of fun. Think carefully about what you are trying to achieve. It is tempting to invite the entire class! but firstly- do you have the space and secondly will the dynamics of the party work in the way you want it to? 10 children on a sleepover can be a lot and that is a lot of different personalities to accommodate!
You of course know your child and their friends the best and will know what will work best for you. Parties can be hard work for parents and we aim to take as much of the stress out of planning your child's party as possible. A Tepee Tribe party is a truly memorable experience and should be very special for all the children involved.
Package inclusions
What is included when I hire The Tepee Tribe?
Each tepee comes with a foam mattress, a stylish mini quilt, lantern, battery operated twinkle lights, a fitted sheet, scatter cushions. Some themes also have a super fluffy blanket. and some have a breakfast table. Your guests will need to bring their own pillow we don't provide them for hygiene reasons.
Logistics
Do you offer delivery and setup for the sleepover parties?
Yes we do. Delivery, setup and pickup is part of the service. We operate all over Hong Kong (except DB, Ma Wan, Lamma, Cheung Chau) we would LOVE to be able to serve you- unfortunately we just cannot reach you with our vehicle!) We drop off and set up on the day of the party and come and collect things at an arranged time and day after the party (We collect on Mondays for Saturday night sleepovers).
An extra delivery surcharge of $800 applies for all locations in The New Territories to cover petrol, tolls and time.
A surcharge is applied of $1000 per day if delivery or pick up is on a Sunday and/or a public holiday.
Do you deliver more than the 5 tepees?
Yes we do, however as parties get larger we will need to use a bigger vehicle to deliver, and the time to pick plan and prepare your party increases. Any party of 7 or more tepees will incur an extra cost of $800 to cove the additional time and effort required.
How long is the hire period of the teepee package?
We generally set up on a Friday or a Saturday.
Friday set up 9.00 am- 4.30pm and we pack up and collect on Saturday morning @10.00am-11.00am.
Saturday set up we work 9.00am- 12.30pm and we collect on a Monday morning between 9.00am and 11.30am- That way your little ones can enjoy the teepees a little longer! Times to be confirmed directly with each customer.
If you require different set up days please contact us as our staff are not always available, but we will try our best to accommodate.
All timings are approximate- we do our best- but traffic conditions can disrupt the best laid plans sometimes so we ask for your understanding.
Do the children have to bring their own pillow?
Either the child or the host can provide pillows for the sleepover as The Tepee Tribe will not supply pillows.
How clean is the equipment?
All bedding is laundered after each hire using sensitive washing liquid. Mattresses are all covered with mattress protectors that are laundered after each use, decorative items are always disinfected and also spot cleaned when necessary.
Why must I be there when The Tepee Tribe setup?
We require the renter of The Tepee Tribe or a designated adult over the age of 18 MUST be there at the time of set up. You are required to inspect the The Tepee Tribe and other hired decor along with our staff before we leave the premises to ensure nothing is damaged. When we return the following day for take down, you or a designated adult must be there as we reinspect the Tiny Teepee and decor. If no damages are found, you will get your $1000 security deposit refunded. via Paypal. If damages are found, the security deposit will not be returned or will be pro-rated at our staff’s discretion. Damages to The Tepee Tribe and other decor include: • Has been moved outside where there is no verandah or fully-covered area • Has been torn/slashed/ripped • Has come into excessive contact with pets or has water marks • Additional mat removed from under mattresses and taken outdoors • Additional children used the mattresses/decor which caused subsequent damages • Broken/damaged trays, decor.

How much space do I need for The Tepee Tribe party?

Can the Tepees go outside?
No, the parties are designed to be held indoors.
Are the teepees waterproof?
No they are not.
How should I prepare the area where I want the sleepover party?
Before our team can set up, we need the host of the party to have cleared a floor space which is clean, safe and tidy. The Tepee Tribe staff will not be able to help with moving furniture.
Can I fit more than one bedding roll inside a tepee?
No the bedding rolls will not fit side by side in our tepees.
Do you have a minimum number of teepees that can be hired?
It is way more cost effective to book one of our packages. 2 tepees is feasible but is less cost effective for you- but we realise that not everyone has loads of space.
Additional teepees are $175 each. Additional bedding rolls are $175 each. If you need less teepees, please call us for pricing as it may depend on your location if we can help you.
How long does it take to setup The Tepee Tribe party?
It depends on how many guests and tepees are needed. To setup five tepees, beds and bedding, plus decorations you should allow for about an hour.
Bookings, payments and cancellations
How do we book The Tepee Tribe?
Please send us an online enquiry via our online booking form that way you can pick your chosen theme, number of tepees and preferred dates. We will get back to you asap- usually a phone call as we prefer to chat. Fridays and Saturdays are the most popular and book up in advance. How do I pay for the Tepee Tribe?
We initially ask for a returnable deposit/bond of $1000 this will hold your date and it goes in our diary. We do ask that you are prompt in paying this. We do get super busy at weekends and your deposit is confirmation of your commitment. We do understand that numbers of children may go up and down and we are really flexible however due to the large numbers of bookings and enquiries we get, we really do need to firm things up asap as often we get several enquiries for the same date. All payments are through PAYPAL. On confirmation of your dates after chatting with you, we will send you a link to pay the deposit/bond part of your invoice. When your deposit/bond payment is received your booking is fully confirmed.
One week before your event or, if your event is less than one week ahead, we ask for full payment via PAYPAL.
You will get a fully itemised invoice so you can see what you are paying for. We ask that upon receipt of the invoice it is fully settled asap. Please don't put us in the embarrassing situation of having to continually remind for payment right up to the party day. We will not set up a party if there is no payment in advance.
Adjusting the numbers of tepees needed
Sometimes you may end up with wanting more children to come to the party. Please do check with us that we have availability of more tepees and bedding sets as often every one of our tepees is spoken for in other parties.
